Saturday Quack – Toxin Removers
Sat, May 20, 2006 at 05:06AM One sees far too many ads for dietary fads, herbs, supplements, enemas, and even electric devices that claim to cleanse the body of all noxious toxins. And a lot of people must be buying them, or the vendors would be out of business. But what are these mysterious toxins that have to be removed? Animal, vegetable, or mineral, as old game used to say? Noxious gasses or fluids? I guess ‘free radicals’ would fit the bill for most of the product claims, but Dr Natura does very well with old-fashioned ‘parasites’.
The Coalition Against Toxins goes after toxic chemicals such as pesticides or perfumes, but doesn’t try to sell anything as far as I can see. Compare this with the Internal Cleansing Kit sold by Blessed Herbs – it’s only $275.00. But all approaches invoke the main stimulus for action – fear. The unknown toxins and the chemicals that may or may not be toxic can easily be made into ogres that will ruin your life unless you do something about them. I suggest you resist them, vigorously.
