Anyone for Cosmetic Surgery?

A lot of people, these days, are having cosmetic surgery - there were almost 12 million procedures in 2004, representing a 44% increase over 2003. There’s a wide choice of procedures – for both men and women – that cover everything from a forehead lift to tummy tuck, with plenty in between. A problem is that most of the information available comes from the marketing departments of businesses trying to sell their services, when you really need a more objective source.

Harvard Medical School has come to the rescue. They’ve published a report from two well-known cosmetic experts called “Cosmetic Surgery A to Z: A guide to common surgeries and skin treatments”. You can order it on line from Harvard Health Publications, at $14. If you’re contemplating a little procedure, this is probably $14 well-spent.
